My name is Claire Orange and I am a Creative, Insightful Thinker and Cross-Disciplinary Designer.
I would describe design as a discipline of helping people, enabling them to live better lives by creating user friendly solutions to complex challenges. I am excited to be part of the design community at this transformative time. As applications for design methodology, such as user-centered research and participatory design, are continuously expanded into new fields, to uncover people’s needs.
Bringing together strategic and creative processes is my strength. I am able to identify and understand peoples needs and effectively implement design strategies through the creation of innovative products, services and experiences. My curious nature drives me to explore new ways to improve user experience and deliver my ideas. A lifelong learner, I am continuously developing new skills and improving my craft.
I am interested in how culture and community intersect, and how that is communicated through the build environment and digital channels. As a designer, I feel a responsibility to find solutions that enrich the everyday lives of people; creating tools the user can understand and master, allowing them to feel enabled and inspired to take action in achieving their goals.
